Funeral of His Eminence Cardinal Elio Sgreccia

The funeral of His Eminence Cardinal Elio Sgreccia, deacon of Sant’Angelo in Pescheria and president emeritus of the Pontifical Academy for Life, will take place on Friday 7 June 2019, at 14.15, in the Vatican Basilica.

The funeral will be celebrated by His Eminence Cardinal Giovanni Battista Re, vice dean of the College of Cardinals, along with the cardinals, archbishops and bishops.

At the end of the Eucharistic Celebration, the Holy Father Francis will preside at the rite of the Ultima Commendatio and the Valedictio.
