This afternoon, the Holy Father Francis and King Mohammed VI paid a private visit to the Mohammed V Mausoleum, paying homage to the tombs of Mohammed V and Hassan II with a floral tribute.
Before leaving the Mausoleum, the Pope signed the visitors’ book. The conservator of the Mausoleum then gave the Holy Father a trophy and a book on the history of the sepulchral monument.
At the end of the visit, the Pope transferred by car to the Royal Palace for the courtesy visit to King Mohammed VI.

At 16.25 the Holy Father Francis paid a courtesy visit to King Mohammed VI.
Upon arrival at the Royal Palace, before reaching the Cabinet Royal, His Majesty Mohammed VI and Pope Francis received honours from the Garde Royale.
After the presentation of the family and the exchange of gifts, a private meeting took place.
At the end of the meeting, in the Throne Room, His Majesty Mohammed VI and Pope Francis signed a joint Appeal on Jerusalem / Al Quds, Holy City and place of encounter.
King Mohammed VI then accompanied the Pope to the entrance of the Palace, receiving once again the honours from the Garde Royale. After taking leave of the King, the Holy Father then transferred by car to the Mohammed VI Institute for the Training of Imams, Mordichines and Mordichates.

At 17.10 this afternoon, the Holy Father Francis paid a visit to the Mohammed VI Institute for the Training of Imams, Mordichines and Mordichates.
Upon arrival he was received by His Majesty Mohammed VI, the Minister for Religious Affairs, the director of the Institute and the president of the Ulema Council. Then, receiving honours from the Garde Royale, they proceeded together to the auditorium.
After the screening of a video and the greeting from the Minister of Religious Affairs, testimonies were received first from an African student, then a European student. After the performance of musical works of the Jewish, Christian and Muslim traditions, King Mohammed VI accompanied Pope Francis to the car.
The Holy Father then transferred by car to the seat of the diocesan Caritas of Rabat, for the meeting with migrants.
