Declaration of the “ad interim” Director of the Holy See Press Office, Alessandro Gisotti, 11.02.2019

The Holy Father will go to Naples this coming 21 June, where he will take part in the meeting on the theme “Theology after Veritatis Gaudium in the context of the Mediterranean”, promoted by the Pontifical Theological Faculty of Southern Italy – San Luigi section – of Naples.

According to the programme, the Pope will arrive in the regional capital of Campania at around 9.00. The Holy Father will be received by, among others, Cardinal Crescenzio Sepe, archbishop of Naples and Grand Chancellor of the Faculty; the bishop of Nola, Msgr. Francesco Marino; and by the Propositor General of the Society of Jesus, Fr. Arturo Sosa Abascal.

The public session of the meeting will take place in the square in front of the Faculty. The Pope will give an address on the theme of the meeting, then after lunch, will return to Rome in the early afternoon.
