At 10.00 this morning, the Holy Father Francis received in audience H.E. Mr. Callista L. Gingrich, Ambassador of the United States of America to the Holy See, on the occasion of the presentation of her credential letters.

The following is a brief biography of the new ambassador:

Ambassador of the United States of America

Mrs. Callista L. Gingrich was born on 4 March 1966. She is married, and studied at Luther College.

She has held the following positions: chief clerk, House Committee on Agriculture, Washington D.C. (2001-2007); president of the Gingrich Foundation, Arlington, Virginia (2005-2017); and president and CEO of Gingrich Productions Incorporated, Arlington, Virginia (2007 to the present).
