At 12.30, in the Holy See Press Office, Via della Conciliazione 54, there is a “Meeting Point” for journalists for the presentation of the 24th World Congress of the Apostleship of the Sea, “Caught in the net”, to be held in Kaohsiung, Taiwan from 1 to 7 October 2017, which will be dedicated to themes relating to fishing and human trafficking.

The themes considered in the Congress express the care and attention of the Apostleship of the Sea not only to analyse natural resources, but also and above all human resources, in particular fishermen who find themselves working in inhumane conditions and who often fall into the hands of organised crime.

Fr. Bruno Ciceri, Vatican delegate for the Apostleship of the Sea, official of the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development and expert on these themes, is available for interview.
