After praying the Angelus the Pope greeted those present in the Square, including Polish faithful from Warsaw and other destinations for Marian pilgrimages, and welcomed Spanish speakers from Ciudad Real and Formentera.

Among the Italians present, he mentioned those from Cuneo, Zelarino, Mattarello and Malcesine, Fino Mornasco and Monteolimpico; those from Cavenago d’Adda, Almenno San Salvatore and Serravalle Scrivia, who will soon receive the Sacrament of Confirmation, and faithful from Ferrara, Latina, Sora, Roseto degli Abruzzi, Creazzo and Rivalta sul Mincio.

He continued, “I greet the group here for Rare Diseases Day. Thank you for all that you do, and I hope that patients and their families receive adequate support on their difficult path, both at a medical and legislative level”.
