In a letter published today, written in Latin and dated 9 January 2017, the Holy Father appoints Cardinal Philippe Barbarin, archbishop of Lyon, France, as his special envoy at the 4th World Apostolic Congress (WACOM IV), to take place in Manila, Philippines from 16 to 20 January 2017.

The mission accompanying the cardinal will be composed of Rev. Don Patrice Chocholski, parish priest of Ars and secretary general of the Congresses of Mercy, and Rev. Don Prospero V. Tenorio, secretary general of WACOM Asia and rector of the national shrine of Divine Mercy in the Philippines.
